Contacts Confusion
 

I just got the new Bold yesterday. But when the ATT guy tried to shift my Contacts over he fount two address books on my Curve. One had 250+ contacts and the other one 38. He could only move the one that had 38... obviously big problem.

Then, my IT dept activated my Bold and it overlaid all the company contacts onto my BB. This is basically 700+ addresses that I don't really need.

So I tried to go through the BB Desktop Manager and delete all. But my address books are ghosted out and I cannot select them. There is a message that says that Databases that are configured for wireless backup or sychronization are read only.

My IT Dept is not very knowledgeable about BB's and I believe I know more about them. They are no help. And one more thing, we are on Lotus Notes not Outlook.

If anyone has any idea on how to clear all my contacts and restore my real contact list it would be appreciated.

Can't say for certain about the address books. I know that you'll end up with one for each email account but I don't know how you can select your default and make it stick -- especially if you're on a BES as well.

However, you can disable wireless sync via Options in the Address Book.
