Thanks Jibi. Hopefully Verizon is soon to follow. I would rather have them back on my verizon 7130 then another providers OS.

I downloaded the software. made the changes but when I open up Desktop manager the new OS does not load. How do I load it?

KonTiki 05-17-2006 01:30 PM

Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

Rhialto 05-18-2006 09:08 AM

I was about to look to install the NEXTEL 4.1 on a TELUS 7520 with the only instruction to delete then vendor.xml file.

Now I see this post that have a more recent 4.1 with some more instructions like replacing an alx file.

Should I go this way? Anyone installed it on a TELUS 7520?

hmmm.. are you sure? Both offer 7520 with PTT enabled. And a few post below, a thread I started, someone say he's using NEXTEL package on his TELUS without problem.

OOPS! Forget my 1st post, I was reading 7520 and it's 7250! My bad! So I think I was right about NEXTEL, those model numbers confused us. :-)

yea, this is happening to me also. I deleted the vendor.xml file and followed the instruction just as listed. How to i get Blackberry Manager to start the upgrade?

jeffmik 07-16-2006 09:38 AM

I usually restart my computer and then it notices the upgrade - otherwise, just let it sit and it will eventually do it.

More importantly - why is anyone installing this Telstra when Sprint's .387 is out and it fixes all the glitches found in this one? :)
