BB Messenger Problem
 

Hi,
I have 3 entries set up under my "contacts" section, but it displays:
Contacts (3/4)

How can I resolve this problem?

Possibly, I was trying to help this old guy with his set up. This what I was thinking. Anyway, I can't contact him. Is there a manual way to clear it out?

Look at the bottom of the list in Messenger at Pending, if it has anything there, if so scroll over it and delete it.

No, there is nothing pending on my phone. I thought you meant someone else's phone.

This happens from time to time, often if there's an error in adding someone to your Contacts list. If the other party shows you as "Pending" on their phone, try having them delete you. I'm speaking strictly from experience here, because this exact thing has happened to me several times, but it usually seems to solve itself. A hard re-set should also clear it, but do make sure that no one else shows you as "Pending" or that might continue to cause the incorrect contact reading.

I fixed the problem on my own, so I figured I woulds post it here for other people who have the same problem.

1) First I made a list of my BB Messenger contacts with the PIN.
2) Then connected the BB to my PC and used the Backup. I made a backup to my desktop (just in case)
3) Again, using the backup, under advanced, I highlighted the BB messenger, on the RIGHT HAND part of the screen and pressed clear. This deletes all the Messenger contacts.
4) I added all the contacts again.

Kind of a pain, but it was really bugging me.
