POLL: Upgrade to 4.1 ?
There are so many postings about whether or not to upgrade to 4.1, so I was just wondering how many have actually done it or are planning on doing it.

within six months, by that time hopefully sp1 will be out.
Also, gives us time to renew our t-support |
Approx 6months away, probaly when SP1 comes out. We need to build in abit more DR as a higher prioirty.
|
Upgraded 2 weeks ago -- now I'm waiting for Bell and Rogers to release OS 4.1 for my 7250 and 6290.
|
Most likely wont be upgrading till the first batch of SP's. Would like to get it in by end of July/Aug, but we have alot of hoops to jump through here.
|
i upgraded a few months ago to the CSL 4.1. most changes were very minor, but some are nice. I am actually waiting on T-Mobile to release my vendor's version of 4.1 to really see what advantages there are (if there are more).

is BES 4.1 stable?
last thing any admin wants is to upgrade to a unstable version. |
Yes it's stable. I upgraded about a week after it was out and haven't even rebooted that server since. At the same time I took it from win2k to win2k3 and had some issues restoring db but resolved them all in same day and have been smooth sailing since.

Great! Thanks for the info. :)
1 further qns if you do not mind. Are you using with Lotus or Exchange? |
Not available in the UK, well at least if you want it supported by Vodafone, but as soon as it is it will be going on straight away.
|
Upgraded last weekend, it was uneventful upgrade except about an hour downtime.
|
I think I'll upgrade when a service pack comes out. I don't think its worth it right now.

There are a couple of providers I know of who can supply 4.1 in the UK and have been for nearly a month now. |
