Will lack of WiFi stop you from buying a Storm?
Simple question. Will the lack of WiFi in the Storm stop you from buying one?
I've been pretty keen to see most of the latest gen phones coming out with WiFi since I live in a residential area of Toronto near the water that doesn't get the strongest cell coverage and no one is signing up to put a cell tower in their backyard. Bell Mobility will be getting the Storm and not the Bold but the Storm is lacking WiFi and this may have me switching carriers. |

Nope. Can't wait to get it. I have great coverage with VZW and the EVDO Rev. A will be great. |

Nope wouldn't stop me |
I've had phones with wifi, and I've actually only used the wifi function to log in remotely ... (log into the phone).
Not at all, can't wait.
Actually what's stopping me from buying it is that it hasn't been released yet
I've never had a device with WiFi (are you listening Sprint??), so I don't miss what I've never had. |

I will not buy it since we do not have 3G coverage here in India and I use WIFI most of the time at office and at work. So no Storm for me. I wonder what were they thinking when they decided to exclude WIFI in a iphone comparable device? |

No way it will stop me from getting one! |
won't stop me either as I have excellent Verizon coverage at home and work.
In my years with a PDA (and then smartphone), I've come to believe that not buying a PDA/smartphone with wifi = shooting self in foot. But that's just my personal opinion.
The lack of wi-fi won't slow me down one bit. That EVDA Rev. A will be so quick we won't even remember wi-fi.
Not only am I getting the Storm but I will be the first to have it that day and at a discounted price thanks to my connection at VZW
no, but a weak browser will,
Here in Northern California, Verizon's EV-DO is everywhere. In fact, I switched from AT&T because VZW was the only provider who could give me an uninterrupted 3G data connection on my once-a-week Amtrak commute from Sacramento to the San Francisco Bay Area. The Storm's Rev. A capability is icing on the cake. So, no, the lack of Wi-Fi capability will not stop me in the least from being among the first to purchase it.

Don't forget over sea its only GSM edge so WIFI will be realy mis.
WiFi is what my laptop is for... Although, with T-Mobile you can use WiFi for calling which would help out at my house which has poor cell coverage, plus the Wifi calls are free. But thats the only major reason I see for wifi on my phone, and of course TMobile isn't going to carry the storm so it doesn't really matter.
Anyone who has VZW hasn't had a WI-FI BB ever!! So why would this one be a deal breaker??
I might be able to live with no WiFi but I Cant live with Verizon or that touchscreen keboard.
Invalid poll. Where's the beer?
Lack of wifi won't keep me from getting the storm. What WILL keep me from buying my fifth bb in 20 months will be the fact that if I do buy it, I'll suffer from lack of Wi-Fe. |
