bb 9700

Recently bought a 9700 BB and I’ve discovered a pretty annoying problem: once less than 5 percent battery capacity left, it cuts off 2G/3G radio emission and wifi as well automatically. Only Bluetooth can still be activated. When I’m trying sto witch radio capabilities back on again, a message tells that this action cannot be performed due to low battery. Does anyone know how can I solve this problem. It is really a bothering one because the telephone can still functioning for almost an hour on 5% remaining battery

This isn't a problem. This is a power-saving feature of the BlackBerry OS.
You can't alter this behavior.

Some feature, huh ?... a pointless one, for sure

Remember, a Blackberry is not just a phone. It's a minicomputer with a phone. So when you think of it from that perspective, the feature is not pointless at all. In fact, it's a very good idea.

Actually there is a simple solution to this problem.
Charge your BlackBerry.

Moved to the 9700 section.

It is not good to let the battery get that low, especially if you are doing it on a regular basis. Getting below 20% can damage the battery.
