Gpx loading onto blackberry

Firstly apologies for repeating what is sure to have been covered before, but a search showed a myriad of information often confusing and unclear information to me.

I have a single need with my BB storm gps at the moment:

I want to load a gpx file onto it and see that on google maps preferable with routing.

Gpslogger allowed me to see the track but on a white background! with no map at all!

Any pointers much appreciated as I'm leaving on a bike tour tomorrow and any quick help is good help!

Yes. In the wrong forum. I hadn't realised there is a GPS specific one here.

Can you help?

I don't think (but am not sure) that you can load a file and see it in googlemaps or BBmaps either. The real issue is that most gps units that do what I will call live "road" routing will not follow your route but rather create a route in real time depending on your location.

I could be mistaken....

It seems like an incredibly common requirement. Upload a route to a map displaying device. This is quite a surprise. And since I want it for cycling predetermined routes ,live "re-routing" by the SW is not what I want especially since most do not do a "by bike" option.

But forgetting routing, all I want to is to show a gpx route on a map.

well - no map in the background support yet - but GPSLogger (see the sticky topic) will read GPX files and display the path - then you can follow this path in a second run (by loading the imported GPX path into the background).

I know that Spot can read GPX files from the SD card or a website and import waypoints. But there is not tracklog support support though :(

Mobile Trail Explorer does the trick

You should take the latest beta version, as the older ones dont support the built in GPS yet
