Administration accounts in protected Microsoft Windows Active Directory groups
How can i go about this ... Admins in AD under protected accounts can not send email trought their BB.
we tried Adding the BESAdmin in the Admin accounts in AD .. stopped BES services and started back without sucess. What is my next step. Jay |
take them out of the protected group, by default Exchange has a deny in place on domain admins..
We use seperate administrative accounts for admin work, and a regular user account for mail and other regular user stuff. |
is this the only way to go ?
|
no, but it's a more secure way to go.
check this article out: Users cannot send e-mail messages from a mobile device or from a shared mailbox in Exchange 2000 Server and in Exchange Server 2003 you can probably explicitly give send-as to the BES service account on each of the admin accounts with a handheld. |
