I would suggest going to an officially released version OS by following these steps:

Windows Live Messenger Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site at using the browser on your BlackBerry® smartphone. Mobile download site takes me no where |
Go to that link from your BlackBerry Browser.
