Did you try reloading firmware using desktop manager?

It won't boot up. The computer recognizes it at first then stops. Is there some kind of boot loader?

Connect the BB to the computer. Start Desktop Manager. If it doesn't immediately start to load the software, start Application Loader and it will reload the handheld software. Assuming you have downloaded the handheld software and installed it on the desktop.

I have tried that it gets past the first step then the step something abot the system initialization thats where the phone reboots. After it reboots its the same problem again where it has the hour glass and then the led start flashing rapidly.

I had the same problem. It took a few tries but make sure you have downloaded and installed the 3.8.112 handheld software on your PC. Make sure you are running the right version of desktop manager for the 7100. Take the battery out and leave it out for 30-45 seconds and then put it back in. Connect up the 7100 to the computer with your USB cable. Open the desktop manager and launch the application loader. It should read your handehld first. Wipe the handheld of all the systems and applications software. Then reconnect and load the system. This time it should load and boot. (it may take more than one try)

So it asks you to reload the software, correct?

Then it installs the OS, then the applications. Then it reboots. The reboot can take a long time - I haven't done it on a 7100t, but on the 7200s it can take a few minutes.

Is that what you are seeing?

Thanks.

I have tried reloading the software about 7 times and still the same result. Last night I tried the 7th time and after that it said there was a fatal error and the computer stopped recognizing it. I think I may just have to exchange it.
