Activation issues hung at 57 percent can send / receive
BES 4.1
Exchange 2003 One device hangs on activation at 57 percent, for a certain user only. because of strict security policy all activations are done via desktop manager. The device can send and receive emails fine. To see if the device was an issue, the device was activated on various other users, and all was fine. The strange thing about this user, was that she was on an exchange store, in which she was on the only user. The exchange admin moved her mailbox, to the regular mail store. Then deleted the user on the BES, waited 2 hours (so that it was purged) and recreated the account. The activation began again - then hung again on 57 percent. The must be a corruption in the mailbox somewhere, but they are reluctant to re-create the mailbox until all possible avenues are explored, due to a new GUID being created. Are there any possible tests to be done on a mailbox? permissions are fine (can send / receive) |
There are lots of points in the Enterprise Activation you can have failure; the key is to look through the logs for this specific user.
My closest guess would be: Enterprise activation process stops responding at 11%, 12%, 59%, 60% or 96% Check the ALRT, CTRL, and MAGT logs specifically for this user. |
