Apparent BIS Outage 24-25 Oct
I got up this morning 3am PST and notice I have no email on my Bold. I notice data will not work. I have 5 bars 3g but the little Blackberry symbol in between the 3g and signal indicator is off. I did a battery pull and still no fix. The network test says i am connected to the mobile network but not BIS or BES.
Usually a battery pull will fix these type of issues but not in this case. |
You're right. I'm in the same boat in Chicago. Wondering why there was no email this morning. Read you post and switched to 2G and my mail poured in.

I don't know why this is so hard. Im in the mobile network options and cannot find this. I don't have a network mode field that the instructions say to change. Maybe the ATT FW does not have this option?

BTW my BES/BIS 4 dot connection icon is staying on better this morning. I hope this does not happen to often.

I'm in Northern NJ on AT&T and have no email but have web access. I also can't sign in to BIS. Tells me to check my information and try again.

4 BIS addresses, none received email since last night, and i cant log in to the BIS website.

Same here in Farifield County, CT
BES and web are fine. BIS is down and I'm unable to send service books. On AT&T.

Doug, if you have not, do a powered on battery pull & reboot. Threre was a RIM maintenance outage last night which could have affected you or your area. It was shortlived and only affected a limited number of users, but...

I did a soft reset and still no go. I can log into the AT&T BIS website, but when I click on service books, it just says "processing, please wait..." Dang it!!!
Update: service books successfully sent, but nothing coming through on my device :( I did a test send email and kicked back saying failed to contact service. What the heck is going on? |
