Using the 8900 with the 8320 holster

I have the old leather holster from my 8320 and its a perfect fit on the 8900. But the magnet doesn't seem to put my 8900 into standby? I have confirmed that the magnet still works but the 8900's keys are being pressed while holstered. Any solutions? Thanks.

not for that case... the sleeper function thing in the 8900 was relocated, so the case wont work to put it into standy... there are no work arounds unless you cut into the case and take out the magnet and relocate it...

Thanks for the information. Sneaky on RIM's part, wouldn't expect them to do something like that.

Any idea where the sleeper function trigger has been relocated to? In case I wanted to jerry rig the 8320 case and relocate the magnet.

If you run your fingers on the case, you can feel the round magnet.

Some people who are on a holster budget in these tough economic times have stretched out their 83xx holsters so the 8900 will fit. Put a sock in it!

I meant where on the back of the phone phone is the trigger? I know where it is on the case.

Spend $10 (Amazon) and get a new one made for the 8900
