New tour won't sync to bb desktop manager

My phone synced up to my desktop manager last night on the first try and now that I have unplugged it and tried to plug it back in, it will charge and show up on my computer but it isn't detected by my desktop manager now. It is blackberry desktop manager ver 5.0, my phone is a tour, and my computer is windows. Any suggestions?

Not synching either

I just got my Tour last night and never got it to synch using the 5.0 desktop software and the Tour. When I try to use the switch device wizard I get the message that the current notification profile settings cannot be transferred. IT's saves the backup nonetheless and says to use the restore function. Then when I try to restore prior settings, I'm told that the device cannot be recognized. Help!

i used the desktop manager 4.5 i would either use the one that comes in the box with the tour or a older one like 4.5. everything transfered beautifully.

It can't use the current notification profiles because the 9630 has changed the way they are set up. Just tell it go ahead and it will finish without profiles. If you have connectivity issues, just reboot either the PC or both device and pc.

I'm having troubles synching my tour as well. I'm using Desktop 5.0 and Vista 64 upgraded to the latest service pack, and Outlook 2007.

After trying various settings, I've narrowed the crashes down to when I try to synchronize the calendar (either one way or two way). It seems to be able to sychronize contacts, notes and tasks with no problem.

Anybody having similary troubles?
