Hay Guys Wats Goin On In This Forum??

All this time reading and I finally got around to hitting that registration link. One more lurker decloaked...

I suppose I've been a BlackBerry geek for a little while now, having started on handheld support in '03 with a handful of 957s. What started out as a dozen or so handhelds has now ballooned to 160+ and evolved from the 957 through 7750, 7250, 7130e, and 8703e to my current fleet of 8830s and 9630s. The BES side of things fell in my lap in '06 when the previous admin left the company and I was the only remaining 'BlackBerry guy'. My first order of business (more like baptism by fire) was upgrading from BES 3.6 to 4.1, which I somehow managed to accomplish with a minimum of fuss from the end users. I've also had the distinct <ahem> pleasure of implementing S/MIME support using RIM's Bluetooth smart card readers - lotsa fun that's been. My days as a one-stop support shop are coming to an end though, as I train up a secondary and more of our non-BlackBerry users say 'OMFG shiny I want one too LOL'. On the horizon - upgrading to BES 5.0 and becoming certified, not necessarily in that order. Oh, and playing with whatever new and shiny toys RIM comes up with - for 'testing and evaluation purposes', of course.
