CDMA Network Setup
Hello folks,
I´m in deep trouble. I´ve got a 8530 from Sprint and everything was great but I had to move to Brazil. Now, I´m trying to setup my phone to work with a Brazilian carrier. The first step was to call to Sprint and get the lock code (MSL) - done Then I used this code to change the phone number, the SID and the NID - done After those steps the Brazilian carrier register my phone in its network but I still got something missing because the phone it´s not working. When I go to "Manage Connection" I can only get international network and I don´t know how to change it. The local carrier here told me that I also need to change the MNC (no idea what it is) and they also gave me a ESN number (no idea either). To make things a little more complicated, I believe that I did the programming in the right way but I can no longer have access to it because when I type the ##number that I´ve got form Sprint I get the message "Usage of programming lock code has exceeded its limit" Please, any help would be really appreciated, I can´t afford to lose my Blackberry (I really mean it). Thanks, Alex. |
