Call failed can be a network issue. But from your 1st screen shot it seems that you have no signal whatsoever? Have you tried getting in touch with your carrier to see if there is something wrong on their end?

How many signal bars of reception are you typically getting? If you see SOS often, it could be that you're in a poor/low reception area and the phone is always struggling to find a signal.

Which OS are you running? You might try upgrading it to a more recent version. The only other thing I can think of is maybe your SIM card is going bad, but I think generally when there's a problem with a SIM card you tend to see the SOS more often.

bro...try hard reboooting ur device...i.e. switch off - remove the battery - take off SIM even the microSD -- keep it like tht for 2 mins n then switch it ON ....if the problem persist then its definetely a network problem

Hi All,

I just fixed my BlackBerry(BB) Bold "SOS" issue. It is my Business Phone where i get calls and see my business emails. The carrier is Verizon. This is what you have to do, Go to Options --> Mobile Network - Network Technology - change it to Global. My BB has started working again. This also happens when you are out of network for long time or no network in area at all.

Thanks,
Farookh Azeez
