I've done that, but I know why it's not working now. I've contacted AT&T a few times, and they have told me that I do need the data plan to use the Wi-Fi. The guy in the store said it's not needed...

I went back to the store and was able to connect...

I went back to the store and was able to connect to a random unsecured network, and it still gave me white dash!

I have not done either of those things, but I'll definitely give them a try!...
