8830/verizon or cruve/at&t

Thank you to everyone for replying.

I know, verizon does seem to be the best carrier for me in NYC. Does anyone know if a better phone than the 8830 will come out with verizon anytime soon?

Here is the deal:
I had AT&T back in 1997, 98, and 99, I loved it., Customer service was excellent....
