What i ended up doing is removing and putting...

What i ended up doing is removing and putting back the battery and i was able to finally retrieve the msg. Is that method called a hard or soft reset?

Yes, because of the convenience of the screen being precut to exact fit. Didnt want to bother measuring and cutting the screen myself even though that itself a simple job.

do they sell replacement screens for the BB Pearls? I got mine equipped with the gel skin. I like it cause it protects all corners and sides of the phone and the rubber gives it a kung fu grip....
