I havae the same problem with a 8707 with 4.1.
When a headset is plug, only vibration, no external ringtone.
No problem with a 7290 with same OS.

The problem was I change to much the couple BB and sim card.
After a few change, the blackberry will not be able to be connected to a bes....

I have a BES with 3.6 SP2 and my 6720 with the V4.0.
It works fine, the only thing you need is to install desktop manager 4 with the Sp1.
I have the same encrytion problem with the Desktop manager...
