very cool indeed

I find Google with GPS very cool indeed; their local business search now seems to be working in the UK as well, so we're really starting to see something useful develop here. 8-)

My phone app does this, too, and I am very pleased that it does! If you type on the number keys, it will put numbers on the "to-dial" line but simultaneously finds names in your address book that...

I'm not sure I can help, but I can confirm my BBM was and is still fully working. I'm no expert, but here are the things I can think of that you might check (including the obvious ones you've...

On the 8800, every time I plug it in, it asks me if I want to use it as a mass media storage device (or words to that effect). I *think* this happened on the 8100 I had as well, but I'm not sure. ...

T-Mobile UK has 8800

FWIW, I got my 8800 on 23 March 2007 directly from T-Mobile UK (on a business contract). They apparently received them for release within a day or two of that. What this indicates for the USA I...

Smile BBM & GMM both working on 8800 in UK

FWIW, both the Blackberry "Maps" (BBM) application and Google Mobile Maps (GMM) are now working on my 8800. Although it doesn't help those of you with issues, both worked almost seamlessly and...

GPS - getting started

This worked for me: If you have BBMaps, select "Start GPS". Once that has found some satellites (the number of found satelites is listed at the bottom left of the Maps Dashboard), then your GPS...

I've had my Pearl for 1.5 days. It is just to use until they swap it for an 8800 for me. If I were you, I would try typing on both the 8100 and 8800.

Suretype works really well, but I'm already...

I'm now being told T-Mobile UK will have the 8800 "in the week of 19 March". Either Vodafone and Orange signed a...

I'm afraid I don't understand. Will the 8800 be permanently slow due to the processor or is it that the OS is just poorly optimized at the moment? I'm particularly interested because, as a Mac user...
