Ok, I did a little experiment. I opened 20 different threads, and 12 did open on the first unread reply. But the other 8 opened in the middle of a page, and 2 of those opened at random page numbers...

Nice looking. Sometimes changing things up is not a good idea, but not in this case. Cleaning looking with just the right amount of splash of color.
