Does anyone know whether 7100 or 8700 batteries will work in my 8800? The form factor looks identical, but admittedly the colours are different! :?

I believe that HSDPA actually implies UMTS as well. Nevertheless, the (Rogers version of the) 8800 doesn't have either HSDPA or UMTS -- or does it?

Many, many more places ... in North America. In Europe, UMTS networks are widespread but the 8800 will have to roam on GPRS only. And in Japan the 8800 won't be able to get any connection at all...
