I can't say that I agree wit you, but from the specs it does seem that you're right...keyboard on 9000 is wider, thats why it's easier to type on it than on 9700.

9000 is 2.60 inches wide (66mm)...

Previously I had 4.6.167, 4.6.292 and now 5.0.314. I've had 314 for 2 weeks now and overall it's the best OS that I used on my Bold.

167 & 292 both did the job and for the most part I was happy...
