yes BIS access is through your cell phone provider, I think your company will be getting rid of BES since they will not support your work email.

yes indeed you must have the BIS feature to make BB Msgr work, once that feature is added, I do recommend requesting friends through PIN, its much faster.

BB videos are normally saved in .3GP files, which open fine in Quicktime, tell them to download Quicktime onto their PC/MAC and they should be able to view the video.

Did you guys try the usual trouble shooting of pulling out the battery and putting it back in? I don't really know how well IMAP work's on BB's but regenerating the encryption key on the BB usually...
