It seems like the files get corrupted when I'm using the BB browser to download, I've tried using Opera mini & the files work fine after being downloaded but files larger than 20MB have difficulty...

Encrypting? How could I be doing that, cause even photos that I take via the phone & save them on the memory card don't display, I just see an icon

I doubt that, I think it's related to the way BB handles files on the memory card cause even files that I copy from my pc to the card don't work, but they work when copied to the device memory. But...
