Google mobile apps are free,
if I was accessing RIM's email services or any other services from RIM,
Which is impossible with out a BB plan, yes, that would be theft.

I don't see how enabling...

Yes I was hoping you would bring up a contract clause saying that changing the browser from wifi to wan is an offense and classed as theft, after all, you are calling me a thief.

Here is the hack by Anworm for changing browser config.
Most apps will work via APN but some, like google search need the BB's def. browser.

there are plenty using BB's with no BIS plan,
I am no exception, neither are my BB's!

3 bb's work flawlessly with the mentioned apps.
8310, 8520, 9000 and a whole community over at crackberry, ...

RIM may have integrated Google in to its services, but Google is independent of RIM as a company and as such does not need to block access via APN!? after all Google want us clicking for stats and...

No, you only need a data plan and your apn settings.

Most apps will work with APN and WIFI.
the only app that i cant find a solution for is skype.
( IM+ Talk does skype, but at 30EUR, bit dear...

the only good thing is email/keypad.

Also, if u dont have BIS, the phone is almost useless.

skype, msn, gtalk, will not work unless your tech. minded and have patience.

This method does not need a BIS plan.
Note: Important to follow this mini guide by the numbers:

1:
download and downgrade desktop manager to any version from 4.7 till 5.0.1, version 6 will not...

hmm, couldnt find an "edit" button for my post.
I had to downgrade to DM 5 and use another method, sorted now.

hey,

Just tried and the loader.exe only wants to install/remove apps, i see no mention of any OS/Device Software?

Strange as i unlocked a 8310 using this kind of method,
But nothing happens...

We just unlocked and removed policy's on a few BB's for the family,
We are also here in Benelux, where data plans are poor!...
