Google Maps problem

I have always used Google maps as my only Map and navigation software and I hardly ever get GPS through it. The only time the software would recognize where I was would be while driving on a highway....

My Storm sometimes lets off an electrical current while charging the device. Its not always, just sometimes.
And I get shocked while holding it while its charging. The device is not damaged at all...

Its like theres an imaginary line down the middle that i cant cross with my thumbs otherwise i press the wrong key. Maybe its just my fingers.
