There is no good reason not to offer BBM on Windows. Hopefully we will see it sooner rather than later. Now that a new CEO is on board hopefully things will change at BBRY. :)

You could try the Chrome plugin Adblock Plus, but mostly that just blocks popups and page ads.

Yes some apps have that back arrow, but not all, also try swiping along the bottom bezel on your PB while in an Android app, from right to left, this will make your Android app go back 1 screen. ...

Yes the Crackberry PB app is an android port. Back swipes are where you swipe from right to left on the bottom bezel to emulate pressing the android back arrow.

You might also try playing around with the network technology setting on the home screen swipe down menu.

Swipe, click on mobile network, then network technology, try all the settings in there.
