That is not necessarily true. I use the SPRINT PCS connection manager with my laptop and it works just fine. Like someone else mentioned, close the DM before trying to connect the the Sprint PCS...

I had the exact same thing happen to me. You will have to call SPRINT and get a Tier 2/3 support guy to walk you through on doing a HARD reset of your device. Once I did that, everything was gravy
