I finally found an answer after calling customer retention on VZ. There is a switch outage which affects berry users. Will be fixed Wed...or so I hope.

It def doesn't happen on all carriers. My g/f's on ATT and doesn't have any issues sending BBMs or surfing the web.

I also do sometimes get some laggieness when I'm in programs. It's really wierd. The phone somewhat freezes for a few seconds when I let's say just install an app. Then it goes bak to normal.
