I dragged and dropped the files from my music folder to the PB's "music" folder that showed up underneath the computer folder
I would imagine that no internet connection is required to transfer...

Transferring files - Bandwidth usage?
I was transferring some music files from my external hard drive to my playbook (both devices were connected to my computer, the computer was sort of a middleman in this process) and my bandwidth...
