I heard on the radio that the UK government was going to try and force network suppliers to share signal, so that people in lower network coverage areas would be able to switch to another supplier...

I have a BB and a s4 mini. The S4 mini signal can be terrible but I find normally the BB keeps it well. So not sure whether that helps! or not!

I agree! It doesn't seem very safe to me. I feel must safer with a longer password.
