Have you tried making a call with the Orange SIM inserted? It may connect to the network but not be able to make/receive calls if the IMEI has been blocked.

Unless BlackBerry reinstall the software for you (basically do a hard reset, not the kind you can do yourself) then so far it can't be unlocked.

Can you tell us the exact wording of the message displayed on the phone when you turn it on?

Also, is your phone branded with a particular network/carrier, and if so, does this same message appear...

I've heard of people suggesting going to RIM to get the counter reset, but I've never actually heard anyone confirm that they do offer that. Anyone?

After you type MEPD before you tried typing MEP2, what was displayed on the screen?

If it said "Network - Disabled" then that means your phone is already network unlocked, which...
