I just bought an 8900 (for $699 o E-Bay), expecting it will support UMA.

Oh wait ... my wife's older, AT&T branded 8300 works on UMA on T-Mobile, so, I assume a Rogers one will as well.
AT&T does not support UMA and the 8300 does not support UMA.
