Yes I mean the Erase Data and Disable Option. This erases all the data and puts the device back to factory defaults OTA. This breaks the association with the device and anything to do with the email address or your corporate environment. So its that easy. You could do the Set Password and Lock put then you are assuming the user will type the password 10 times incorrectly. So the Erase Data and Disable Option is the way to go. Good luck.
