I understand what they are trying to say, but I just don't think they say it very well.

These programs save you TIME, not MONEY. They save you TIME in dialing a number with your calling card, and the calling card saves you MONEY.

Of course, they always say TIME is MONEY, so in some sense by saving you time I suppose it's fair to say that it saves you money.
