For the benefit of other users looking for the same thing: There's apparently no way to create a shortcut for this, but a work-around is to...

1. Hit the call/send button,
2. Press the Shift button (to the left of the zero digit),
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the list to select them all, and then
4. Hit the Menu button and choose Delete.
