I wasn't implying the Bridge Browser accesses wifi directly in the same sense the as the default PlayBook browser. I said, "when the handset is on wifi.". The PlayBook Bridge Browser uses the handset's data connection. If the handset is on wifi, the Bridge Browser should be faster than when the handset is on the mobile network, especially compared to EDGE, which is indeed what I observed before. Now the Bridge Browser is painfully slow no matter which.
