I was becoming convinced that an i-Phone was in my future (and I'm getting one for my wife this week) and was not happy. I need BB's parsimony with data for international travel. I do not want to be "back with BB" after a really expensive international data charge.

The 9810 showed up (barely) in time. I have the solemn word of ATT that my BB $65/month unlimited international data plan will be restored on 9/16 and my life will be fine at least until my new contract expires in 2013 or RIM goes broke.

I am very pleased with the 9810. I like the big screen far more than I dislike the tiny keyboard, YMMV. The device gets the international test in China in early November.
