The 9780 would be ok, but then I could also go back to the 9700 which I still have.
However the 97xx has none of the nice toys of the 9900 I desire.

Meanwhile I tried a hardware modification:
Why not just disconnect the cable to the touchscreen ?
But, the cable is tied together with the cable of the screen as it seems.
The only way would be to cut through the flex-Cable which goes to the touchscreen.
A new touchscreen is about $50 if I ever want to have touch again.

So I rather wait a little and try to accustom to the 9900, before reverting to the 9700

But if anyone is able to build an application to deactivate the touchscreen via Software I give $50.

Maybe, if more people have the same problem, the total sum of money will go to a level where this is of interest ?
