You can give it a try. The battery life is terrible on most Android devices. I have been using Android as well as BlackBerry for the past 2 years or so and I don't mind Android. But do know that you will get force close messages every now and again, the Market isn't really monitored, so be careful what you download. Security on the device is not what a BlackBerry is.

Other than that, the browser is amazing, plenty of apps to choose from, the device should be quick. Also, 4G drains battery even faster. Go to a Verizon store and play around with it and see what you think about it.
