I use a 7290 and sync to a mac. You are corret that you will need pocket Mac. No blackberrys can sync with bluetooth. The devices are limited by RIM to only use Bluetooth for headset communication. Pocket mac works great for syncing, however there is one limitation. You can not install apps with it. They may provide this functionality in future updates. I really like my 7290 and prefer it to the palm OS.
