There are just a few minor tweaks to each. If you delete the Vendor.xml file to install the new software on your device(say cingular software onto a TMo device) you'll unlock all of those themes.

I have NEVER seen an OS package contain more than the theme it was realeased under, meaning, I have never seen TMO release an OS upgrade and it have Vodafones theme and vice versa...
And I feel I am right about that having never had happened...If I am wrong, show me.
