Unfortuantely there's no way to go back to 1.8 that I'm aware of. All the carriers are being told to upgrade so 1.8 will eventually be gone.
When you setup an email address on the BIS 2.0 do you get a message saying the email account was setup on your 7130? You may also want to try to re-register your 7130. Options->Advanced Options->Host Routing Table, click the trackwheel and select Register. You will be re-registered on their network.
