In the local Houston paper this morning it was reported that the security paid for by the state of Texas for the Perry run is estimated at $ 1.1 million US. There are some who want Perry to repay this expense.

After thinking about it I think it would be a reasonable and prudent move to make the guy pay. Why? He spent state funds for a task that was not covered by the state constitution. Right now he is drawing both the governers salary and retirement. Enough is enough.

Right now I am in favor of a minimum federal tax rate of about 20 percent and people paying into social security for the entire amount of their salary.
