You may need to give it time for the battery to charge. Or maybe battery is a goner. Do you see any improvement by now?

I have only one experience along these lines. Bought a new battery. Put it in the BB and got the 'no battery' indicator. I removed the battery and then with the BB plugged into USB I replaced the battery. BB booted up to the home screen. Battery was down on empty, so to speak, but it charged. FWIW.
