If you're getting the 507 error the software is removed. Now you need to reinstall the latest software. Since the device will not power up all the way by itself (due to no software being present) remove the battery and leave it out *then* plug the phone into your PC and run the Application Loader.
About halfway through the process replace the battery and make sure to not disconnect your phone from the PC.
