It's really not that big of a deal to have to put a piece of paper under there. If the phone works for you the way it was delivered, then no big deal. If people want to modify it, fine. It's the same for the wiggly battery covers that people have fixed by putting a piece of paper over the battery. Not a big deal, and not necessarily a waste of money just because someone wants to customize the device so that it suits him or her better.
